Wormsloe Oaks
Savannah, Georgia
Situated on a forested peninsula
surrounded by marshes, Wormsloe Plantation was established in 1737 by
Noble Jones, one of the first British colonists in the Savannah,
Georgia, area. Here, Jones tested his horticultural interests.
The surviving ruins of the original house is reached from a long
drive planted with a colonnade of live oaks. |
